The post is based on research by a number of Australian unions, including the ACTU and NTEU.

Members want union communications that are:

• Positive, proactive, forward looking, friendly
• Authentic – no cliches
• Not adversarial or victimising (they don’t want to be made into victims or to have to fight their employer)
• People focused (centred around members, colleagues, peers, the community they serve)
• Professional and of a high standard

   View from an old fool in UK: What we want is a New Society that will not destroy Earth’s ability to support Life.

   It may already be too late. CFCs have taken Chlorine into the Ozone layer ready to catalyze Ozone out of existence when it gets cold enough up there. And Methane is coming out of melting bogs which feeds back to making it warmer down here and accelerating the warming because Methane is a much more effective greenhouse gas than CO2, more feedback follows.
